BOC is employing its intelligent technologies that balance the need for environmental protection with advancing industrialisation and economic development, particularly in the field of LNG.
A prime focus is working with heavy vehicle manufacturers and engine builders to develop the “LNG Highway” to refuel transport fleets throughout Australia.
The launch of BOC’s $65 million LNG project in Dandenong Victoria in February 2012 signified the leading role BOC is playing in the development of cutting edge solutions focusing on the safe, efficient, simple and eco-friendly application of alternative fuels for trucking, and local gas grids.
BOC’s Dandenong investment followed the company’s February 2011 launch of Australia’s first Micro-LNG plant in Westbury, Tasmania, and six refuelling stations across the island state, for a combined $150 million.
As part of its long-term commitment to the ‘LNG Highway’, BOC’s next venture in LNG technologies will be a micro plant located in Condamine, QLD. This plant is expected to be on line early 2014.
In addition to its major LNG contributions, the company has supported significant industry growth and sustainable manufacturing through many diverse projects.
